To My Esteemed Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the transfer of an important service for veterinarians, dog trainers, and animal care professionals to offer their clients. You may be aware of the service I, Pamela Reid, Ph.D., provided to pet owners in Southern Ontario. People experiencing behaviour problems with their pets sought my guidance with modification and management plans.
Over the past several years, my former graduate student in the field of Applied Animal Behaviour Nathan Penny has accumulated the education and expertise necessary to take over Animal Behaviour Services, Inc. (formerly known as Pet Behaviour Innovations). Nathan spent many years accompanying me to my house calls before taking on his own caseload in 1999. He keeps up with the current literature, presents his work at international conferences, conducts important research in the field of canine behaviour at The Ontario Veterinary College, and is prepared to fill my shoes as Southern Ontario's premier pet behaviour specialist. Nathan is offering behaviour consultations for dogs, cats, horses, birds, and ferrets, in clients' homes where the problem occurs. Nathan specializes in the treatment of aggression, fear, inappropriate elimination, and separation anxiety. Nathan is also equipped to conduct behavioural assessments for legal cases, muzzle orders, and for people wishing to select a suitable pet from a shelter or rescue organization.
Please join me in supporting Nathan Penny as the new director of Animal Behaviour Services, Inc. I have full confidence that Nathan will provide your clients with excellent support and practical, science-based treatment programs to resolve their pet's behavioural issues.
Sincerely,
Pamela J. Reid, Ph.D.
